Home sales up for May

Buyers take note: Naples is finally seeing increases in home sales. According to a front-page article in Friday’s Naples Daily News,

Pending sales for February, March, April and May were up more than 20 percent in the Naples and Bonita Springs markets over last year. There were 3,052, compared to 2,533 in that period in 2007.

Of course, a main driving force behind the sales increases is the average price of homes on the market:

The median home price in the Naples area fell to $350,000 in May, from $389,000 a year ago, according to NABOR’s report.

But more sales means more demand – property prices may soon stabilize and begin an upward trend. Buyers must pay close attention so as not to miss the perfect opportunity to buy in Naples.
