Naples Dog Park

Local residents of Naples are working together to try and convince the city that a second off-leash dog park is needed for their pets to play freely. This movement was sparked by a group of people who had been previously meeting at Gulfview Middle School on Sunday mornings every Sunday for over a year. The local meetings began to grow and towards the end of the year had about 60 people showing up for this hour long play session. They claim that the current dog park, “Rover Run” is too far away and compared it to driving to Fort Myers. The group has already suggested four city-owned properties in Naples for this new dog park and they will continue to work towards having a second park created.
