Ave Maria University Opening This Fall
With classes beginning at Ave Maria on August 27, dramatic changes to the Collier County landscape are forthcoming. Just how real estate development in the area surrounding Ave Maria and its accompanying town, Serenoa, will affect current Naples residents remains to be seen. The Naples Daily News reports on some of the numbers:
Depending on market response, complete development could come within 10 years, with 11,000 homes and about 25,000 residents …10,795 jobs are expected to be generated during phase two including construction, staff, and retail.
The dream project of Domino’s Pizza founder Tom Monaghan, Ave Maria University is expected to eventually grow in size to over 5000 students.
