Helping the Naples Community

You can participate in helping the community with the following events at Mercato:

Back To School Drive:

Drop off your school supplies at the participating Mercato merchants from July 2nd – August 5th to benefit The Education Foundation of Collier County.

Items needed:

• Uniforms (all sizes, all range of grades) – solid polo shirts & walking shorts/pants
• Backpacks
• Athletic shoes
• Underwear & socks
• Pencils, crayons, dry erase markers
• 8×11 subject spiral notebooks
• 1-3″ binders & dividers
• Calculators
• Lunch boxes
• Black/white composition notebooks

Naples Zoo Giraffe Fundraiser:

Drink a Chocolate Giraffe at the Blue Martini for a Green Cause! It features whipped cream vodka, chocovine, a splash of cointreau and it arrives in a chocolate swirled glass. And you can only get one on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Blue Martini at The Mercato.

What is it?
It’s a Chocolate Giraffe martini and you can enjoy one by simply donating $5 that evening at the Blue Martini.  There’s a limit of one complimentary Chocolate Giraffe per person.

What’s it for? To benefit the education and conservation programs at Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens where you can now hand-feed the herd of seven reticulated giraffe.
